The ingredients needed to make Beetroot Burger patty:
- Get 1 beetroot grated
- Provide 1 cup boiled mashed potatoes
- Use 2 tbsp finely chopped onions
- Use 1 tbsp oil
- Prepare 1 tbsp chilli ginger paste
- Provide 1/2 cup roasted crushed makhana
- Get 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Get 1/2 tsp amchur powder
- Prepare 1/2 tsp chat masala
- Use 1/4 th tsp garam masala
- Prepare 1/2 tsp jeera
- Get 2 tbsp rava & 2tbsp bread crumbs mix
- Get Salt as per taste
- Provide For assembling the burger
- Get Lettuce leaves
- Provide 2 tbsp ketchup
- Use 1 tbsp mustard paste
- Take 4-5 onion rings
- Take 3-4 tomato slices
- Use 1 cheese slice
Steps to make Beetroot Burger patty:
- In a pan take oil, once oil becomes hot add jeera, then add finely chopped onions cook the onions for 5-8 minutes till they become translucent.
- Then add grated beetroot mix well and cook it for 2 minutes, then add boiled mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Then add red chilli powder, amchur powder, garam masala powder, chat masala powder and mix well
- Then add salt, mix well and make patties out of it.
- Then coat the patties in rava & bread crumbs mix and makhana and shallow fry them.
- To assemble the burger toast the burger buns, apply ketchup on both sides, then spread mustard, place lettuce on the bottom, place patty, place cheese, onion rings, tomato slices and serve with chips.
The patty mixture will be very sticky, so wet your hands in between forming each patty, to help stop the sticking. To fry the patties (my fave): Heat enough oil to cover the bottom of a large skillet over medium heat. Add the egg and beetroot and pulse until it comes together. Empty into a bowl and stir in the onion, halloumi and breadcrumbs. When well combined, stir in the feta.
